George James Blenman was born in Inverell, New South Wales, Australia in 1886 to Gregory Blenman and Martha Rossington.

George James Blenman married Ivy Victoria Clay on 11 JAN 1919 at Methodist Church, Tighes Hill, New South Wales, Australia. They were the parents of two children. Ivy passed away in 1938 at Islington NSW. In 1942, George married for a second time to Ellen Peattie Birch at Wickham NSW.
