She married Ira G Fletcher in 1842. They had nine children in 22 years.
It is possible Rachel was erroneously thought to be a child of James and Sidney Fewell because in the 1860 census it looks like Sidney is in Rachel's household. But if you look more closely, James and Sidney are living next door and Sidney has a line combining her with James' household, not Rachel's. Rachel is named Rachel Blevins in her son James' death certificate. She is also living next door to her Blevins family in the 1850 census. However, some of the family is buried in the Fewell Cemetery in Henry County, Missouri, so there may be some connection to the Fewell family.
Autosomal DNA also leads to Blevins as the correct surname. In the DNA group for Amanda Taylor/John Fletcher and Ira and Rachel Fletcher, is a group of matches with Stephen Blevins (father of Rachel) in their trees. There is no Fewell DNA present.
