Biography

Martha, husband Elijah and 2 sons, James and Frederick probably came to Qld Australia to find work in the Gympie gold mine. Martha 36yrs, died in Gympie after only three years of arriving. Daughter Mabel was probably born in Gympie. She was only one year old when Mum died. Like many women of that time Martha may have died in childbirth. Elijah married Marion Harriet Jabobs in Qld in 1889 then moved to NSW.
