Charles was born in the Singapore Straits Settlements in 1873. He is the son of Jasper Blewett and Mary Lloyd.[1]
He appears to have been sent back to England from Singapore at an early age, even before the death of his father Jasper Blewett in 1883, because in 1881 he is living with his grandmother Ann Blewett, and Aunt Grace in Mylor, Cornwall.[1] . This is in contrast to his sister Annie Grace, who remained in Singapore until after her marriage, only coming to Britain sometime in the early 1900s.
In 1896 Charles married Harriet Nicholls. The service took place on 19 April in the parish of Perranzabuloe, of which Perranporth is part.[2]
Charles died in Perranporth, Cornwall, aged 57, and was buried on 27 November 1930. His residence at the time of his death was 'Beach Cottage', Perranporth.[3]
