Biography

A marriage license for Jonathan Stottlemiere and Susanna Blickenstaff was issued on 5 November 1842 in Frederick County, Maryland.^[1]

Note: History of the Blickensderfer Family in America By Jacob Blickensderfer (1816- 1899) John was born Dec. 9, 1803. He married Mary Fair, who was born in 1789; but there is no record of her birth. They resided in Frederick county, Maryland. Their children were two sons and two daughters: !. Susanna, born July 9, 1823; died Feb. 10, 1893. 2. John Ezer, born Aug. 4, 1827. (Upton's Father). 3. Margaret, born July 9, 1829; died April 30, 1876. 4. Jacob, born March 13, 1831. John's wife, Mary died May 15, 1876, the record says, "aged 87 years", and John died Jan 7, 1884. They were both members of the Disciples church, but are buried in the graveyard of the German Baptist near Wolfsville, Maryland.
