Biography

John (Bligh) Bly was involved in witch trials

John Bligh tended to become Bly in America. The first was probably John Bly, the Salem brickmaker in Massachusetts who got caught up in the Salem witch trials. There were also Blys from Rhode Island who migrated to Connecticut and upstate New York and, in some cases, west to Michigan. The Blys of Massachusetts and Rhode island were probably both connected to John Bly the brickmaker.
