Biography

MR. T. H. BLIGHT. The death occurred at his residence, Moonta Mines, of Mr. Thomas Henry Blight, In his 55th year. He was born at East Moonta, and had resided in the district nearly all his life. He was at one time a prominent player of the Turks' Football Club. In addition to an aged mother (Mrs.Elizabeth Blight, who resides at East Moonta) there are left a widow and family of seven daughters:— Mesdames S. Tonkin (Snowtown), C. Beasley (Cheltenham), F. Porter (Moonta Mines) F. Boundy (Maitland), and Misses Nelly, Ella, and Phyllis Blight(Moonta Mines). Messrs. George and Alf Blight, of Moonta Mines, are brothers, and Mesdames A. Peters, W. H. Tonkin (East Moonta), L, Cloak (Adelaide), J. Sampson (Semaphore), H. Croxton (Port Adelaide), and W.Howes (Broken Hill) are sisters.^[1] Note: according to Phyllis' birth registration, Thomas' wife was Celia, nee Crocker.
