Lawrence Bliss immigrated to New England as a child during the Puritan Great Migration (1621-1640).

Lawrence/ Laurens son of Thomas and Margaret (Hulins) Bliss[1] was born say 1628.[2]

Lidia ye Relict of Laurence Bliss deceased Presenting to this Corte a paper wherein she desires ye Setlement of ye Estate of ye deceased this Corte doth therefore Setle ye Lands upon ye 3 Sons wch they are to have wn they Come to be of age, ye Eldest Son to have a double Portion, @ if any of the Sons dye before they Come to be of age yt then ye Surviveing Brors have ye deceaseds, And yt the Eldest Son pay to Each of his Sisters 40sh wn they are of age & yt ye Other two Sons pay to there two Sisters 20sh apeice, as alsoe yt ye Widdow have her 3ds according to Law & yt ye moveables being small be to ye Widdow[7]

Samll Bliss Senr prsented a petision to this Corte wherein he desired that ye debts of his Bror Laurence Bliss, deceased, which are required should be payd Out of ye Moveable Estate of sd Laurence Bliss, that Soe his Lands might Continue whole intire or undisposed for the Children, this Corte doth determine & Ordr that they that have sd Moveables doe defray ye debts that are remayneing[8]

Same issue as the other Bliss profile, it's a Julian calendar date that has been incorrectly transcribed in the FamilySearch database. The entry reads: "Lawrence Bliss joyned in marriage to Lidia Wright the 25th of 8th mon 1654." The 8th month was OCTober.
