George Bliss—son of Peter Donald Bliss and Amalie Berg—was born in 1927 in South Dakota. He was the 2nd of two sons.

George, age 18, registered for the draft 9 March 1945. He lived in Colton, Minnehaha, South Dakota; Mrs. P.D. Bliss (mother); he's a high school studen and part-time movie projectionist in a theater in Humboldt, South Dakota. George is 5'10-1/2", 165 lbs, with blue eyes.

He enlisted June 1945 and re-enlisted until his death.
