Hannah Bliven was born on February 26, 1770, in Westerly, Kings County, Rhode Island. She was the daughter of David Bliven and Hannah Greene Bliven.[1][2][3]
She was married to Jesse Rogers in Westerly, Washington County, Rhode Island on December 23, 1789, Jesse was the son of Nathan Rogers and Hannah Crandell Rogers. [2]
Hannah passed away April 12, 1854 in Allegany County, New York, and was buried in the Rogers Cemetery, in Scio, Allegany County,[1]
"The Sabbath Recorder", Vol 10, No 45, p 179, Apr. 20, 1854. In Amity, N. Y., April 11, after a short season of illness, Hannah Rogers, relict of Jesse Rogers, in the eighty-fifth year of her age. Sister Rogers had been for many years a "mother in Israel." No words the writer could utter can deepen the impression upon the minds of those who knew her, that she was a true believer in Jesus of Nazareth. When death came, he found her in perfect readiness for his work, believing that death was only the door to life! She had been for many years, and was at the time of her death, a member of the Seventh-day Baptist Church of Amity. "Blessed are the dead that die in the Lord!" N. V. H.[1]
