Research Notes

On Family Search Karolina's first husband is listed as Friedrich Degen. This cannot be corect.

  • Karolina Ploch was widowed by 1815 when she married Michael Dietrich. Friedrich Degen had a child, Anna Maria Degen, with his wife, Karolina Fürstenberger in 1843. So he could not be Karolina Ploch's first husband.
  • Karolina (Ploch) Dietrich died in 1839, also negating a marriage tot Friedrich Degen.
