Biography
Bertha's tombstone states: "Aharon Mordechai ben Gershon"
In April 1910, Max and Bertha and their daughter Golace lived at 1070 13th Street in Chicago. Bertha reported that she had been the mother of 10 children, with six still living. Max was a peddler of dry goods while Golace was an office clerk.[1]
In January 1920, Max and Bertha lived at 1311 Western Street in Chicago. They rented their home. Max was a peddler of dry goods.[2]
"BRAMER- Bertha Bramer, of 2619 Evergeen-av., beloved wife of Max Bramer, devoted mother of Anna Lewis, Bessie Sachs, Lena Kaplan, Tillie Warsaw, and Ray Ziv and Goldie Cooper of Spokane, Wash.; at the age of 78 years. Funeral will take place Monday, May 3, at 2 p.m. from chapel, 2123 W. Division-st. Interment at Waldheim."[3]
Bertha was buried in Waldheim Cemetery in Forest Park, Cook County, Illinois. Her tombstone has her photo on it.[4]
