Biography

Asahel was born 23 December 1771, [1] and was baptised on 29 December 1771 in Amherst, Massachusetts.[2] He was the son of David Blodget and Jerusha Dickinson.

He was married 14 January 1796 in Amherst, Hampshire, Massachusetts to Eunice Calkins.[3]

Asahel, age 75, died 16 October 1846 in Belchertown, Hampshire, Massachusetts[4] and was buried at West Cemetery, Amherst, Hampshire County, Massachusetts. The name "Asahel Blodget" is inscribed on his tombstone.[5]
