Mary Esther Blomfield was born on 14 Jan 1888 in London, England.[1] Her parents were Sir Arthur William Blomfield and Sara Louise Ryan. She was baptised at St. Mary's, Bryanstone Square on 7 March 1888.[2]
The 1891 England Census shows Mary E. Blomfield, age 3, living with her parents and 3 siblings in London.[3] Census records also list six household servants including nurse, cook, and parlour maid.
The 1901 England Census shows Mary Esther Blomfield, age 13, living with her widowed mother and two sisters in Worcestershire.[4] Also in the household are a governess and two servants.
The 1911 England Census shows Mary Esther Blomfield living in Chelsea, London, with her mother and one sister.[5] Also in the household are a cook and maid.
Mary E. Blomfield was a playwright, philanthropist, and British Suffragette.[6] Like her mother, she was a dedicated member of the Baha'i Faith and served on the National Spiritual Assembly of the British Isles for over five years. Abdu'l-Baha gave her the name "Parvine".[7]
She married Commander Basil William Reid Hall on 9 January 1920 in Geneva, Switzerland.[8] They are listed together in the 1939 England and Wales Register, living at 8 Burgess Hill in Hampstead, London.[9]
