Biography

Joseph was born about 1730 in St. Mark's Parish of Culpeper, Virginia. He was raised as the son of Joseph Bloodworth and Mary Newport. He is not mentioned in his father's will of 1743, possibly because he had not come of age or ..........?. However, he does appear in the following Augusta County, Virginia records of 1751 and 1749 as does either his sister or Aunt Mary Bloodworth.
