Biography

Velma Bloom, daughter of Benjamin Franklin Bloom and his wife Hattie Alice (Lyman) Bloom, was born at Fort Collins City, Larimer, County, Colorado. In 1914 the family was living near Twin Falls, Idaho, in 1916 the family was living at Snowville, Box Elder County, Utah, and by 1917 they were living near Buhl, Twin Falls County, Idaho. By the 1920 Census the family is found in Palmer, Union County, Oregon. By 1921 they had moved to Troutdale, Multnomah Count, Oregon.

Velma's mother died in the fall of 1921, just after Velma turned 10 years old.

Velma's son and only known child, Leroy Bloom, was born around 1930.

In 1957 Velma married Roy Davis, his third wife, and they lived in McMinnville, Yamhill County, Oregon. Roy and Velma were married for 34 years.

Velma (Bloom) Davis died May 5, 1991 in McMinnville and is buried in Evergreen Memorial Park, McMinnville, Yamhill County, Oregon. Roy Davis died in 1992 and is buried beside Velma.
