Elizabeth emigrated 1637 in the Mary Ann of Yarmouth, with husband Thomas Paine, and their six children, Mary born 1611; Thomas, 1613; Eliz., 1615; Dorothy, 1618; John, 1620; and Sarah, 1622. [1]
They settled in Salem. Their home is thought to have been located between the commons and New River near present Washington Square at Boardman Street, based on Nathaniel Emmons Paine's research. Her husband died in Salem in 1639.
Around 1652, Elizabeth joined her daughter Mary Dickerson in Southold, Long Island, NY. She died in Southold prior to Sept. 15, 1658, when an Inventory of the Estate of Elizabeth paiine, widow of Southold was taken by William Purrier and Charles Glover. 26.19.10
