Mary Kathleen Luff, 83 of Bethlehem, known to her family and friends as Kathy, died peacefully at Lehigh Valley Hospital-Muhlenberg on March 4, 2006.
She and her husband Gene S. Luff were happily married for over 61 years. Born in Muskogee, OK in 1922, she was a daughter of the late William and Esther (Frost) Blossom. She graduated from what was then known as Northeastern State Teachers College in Tahlequah, OK. She taught elementary school in the Bethlehem Area School District from 1961 to 1970. She then received an elementary grade librarian certification after attending Kutztown University. She was an active member of St. Matthews Lutheran Church Bethlehem and was also a member of the Bethlehem Garden Club. Most importantly she was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and homemaker.
Survivors: She will be lovingly remembered by her husband Gene; sons, Ronald D. and his wife Jean of Bethlehem, Paul K. and his wife Nan of Ivyland; granddaughters, Heather, Jennifer, Kimberly, Brenda; grandson, Brian; a niece, Linda and nephew John.
She was preceded in death by her sister, Virginia and brother, Bill.[2]
