Biography
Joseph Blount was born about 1815 in Robeson, North Carolina, United States, son of Benjamin Blount (~1775–1831) and Mary Townsend (1785–~1865).
Joseph married Mary Cain (born about 1817 in Bladen, NC) about 1843. [1] [2]
Their children were:
- Elizabeth B (Blount) Mercer (abt.1844-1869)
- Adelia (Blount) King (1846-1897)
- Eudorah (Blount) Britt (1847-1908)
- William James Blount (abt.1849-1923)
- Joseph Blount (1852-abt.1925)

- Adeline Prudent (Blount) Hall (1857-1903)
- Evander Ellis Blount (1859-1904)
Joseph died before 1869 in Robeson, aged about 53.
