Humphrey Blount was born in Kinlet, Shropshire, England.

Humphrey Blount, son of "Sir Joh'es Blount de Kynlet" and "Alicia fil. Kinardi DelaBere de com. Hereford.",^[1] was born in 1422^[2] in Kinlet, Shropshire. He passed away in 1477.^{[citation needed][3]}

He was Sheriff of Shropshire and married Elizabeth, daughter of Robert Winnington:^[1]

Humfridus Blunt de Knylet, in com. Salop. [Sheriff 1461] m. Eliz. dau. Rob'ti Winnington de com. Cestrise militis.^[1]
