Biography
Mary Ellen Blower, the daughter of Samuel Blower and Mary Ann (Pidcock) Blower, was born towards the end of 1873 in Swanwick, Derbyshire, England. I cannot find a baptism records for her.
Her family had moved from Staffordshire to Derbyshire to work at the Swanwick colliery and then to Radford in Nottingham to work at the newly opened Radford colliery.
Mary Ellen married the wonderfully named Joseph Hepworth Mallinson West on 30 Jan 1897 in Nottingham, Nottinghamshire, England. They had one son. Mary Ellen was widowed early in 1907.
Mary Ellen married John Watson, who had been a boarder in their house, in the March quarter of 1909 in Nottingham
Mary remarried again to a Mr. Evans but I cannot trace that marriage. She died late in 1965 aged 92.
