David Blue is a part of US Black heritage.

David was born December 28, 1812,[1] perhaps in Hampshire County, Virginia where he was enslaved before the 1840 will of Michael Blue. He died sometime after the 17 Oct 1860 Slave Schedule of Sarah A. Blue in Hampshire, VA.

From the 1840 Will of Michael Blue of Hampshire, Virginia: "3rd I give and bequeath to my son Thomas, Negroes David & Rebecca.[2] [3]

Thomas Blue died on 20 Oct 1851 in Hampshire, Virginia,[1] so his wife became owner of their enslaved people.

The 17 Oct 1860 Slave Schedule of Sarah A. Blue in Hampshire VA named 14 enslaved people, including David 52 M M.[4]
