Daughter of Robert Blue and Martha Blue (cousins). Married Hiram Anthony Hendrix January 2, 1866 in Illinois. They moved to Lexington, Dawson County, Nebraska where they farmed for the reminder of their lives.

24 Feb 1921:
"Nancy Adeline Blue was born August 17, 1849, at Sangimon County IL, and departed this life Feb 21 1928, at the age of 78 years 0 months and 4 days.
"She was united in marriage to Hiram Richard Hendrix Jan 2, 1866.
To this union were born eight daughters and six sons. In the spring of 1889 she moved with her husband and family to Daswon County, Nebraska.
"In March 1911, they moved to Lexington, Neb., where her husband passed away the following May. Since then she has made her home with her daughter. Mrs. R.H. Adams.
"Three daughters, Ethel Heiter, Gracie May Hendrix and Emma Adams and two sons, Charles Edward and Albert, preceded her to the Great Beyond. She leaves to mourn her loss five daughers, Katie Gordon, Maudie Adams and Nettie Wildt of Overton Neb. Bessie Naviaux and Sadie Morgan of Lexington NE and four sons, John Hendrix of Bayard, NE, Jess Leon Hendrix of Overton NE, Alfred Hendrix of Vancouver WA, Elmer Hendrix of Denver CO. 40 grandchildren, 39 great grandchildren, two great great grand children, and a host of relatives and friends.
She was a faithful member of the Christian Church of Overton.
The children were all present at her bedside when she passed away except one son of Vancouver WA."
Note: On Nancy's death certificate her name is spelled Nancy Hendricks, but her husband's reads Hiram Hendrix, also the newspaper obit spells the name Hendrix.[11]
