Margaretha Blum was born to John Jacob Blum and Agnes Greutman Blum. She was the 8th of ten children.
Margaretha emigrated to the US arriving on March 21, 1887 at 22 years of age on the ship La Bourgogne. Her departure port was Havre and her arrival was New York.
She never married. She passed away in Chicago, Illinois at 24 years of age in 1889. She is buried at Graceland. Her occupation was listed as a servant girl.
