Biography

Son of William Blunt and Sarah Foster born 3 July 1707 in Andover, MA.[1]

Married Mary almost certainly Mary Wilson of Exeter.[2] [3]Their children were Sarah and Mary Blunt (both died young). Other children were Joshua, Samuel a second Sarah and Jonathan Jr. Blunt

Still living in the New Hampshire area in 1762[4]

He is buried at Chester Village Cemetery, Chester, Rockingham, New Hampshire, USA

Probate

Jonathan Blunt did not leave a will and his estate entered probate 3 June 1762 with widow Mary as administratrix. Total inventory of £18,454.15.0 which included a personal estate of £6,249.19.8. The dower was set to the widow on 18 April 1764. Eldest son Joshua Blunt received the double share with single shares to Samuel Blunt, Sarah Blunt, Mary Blunt, and Jonathan Blunt. On 24 June 1767, guardianship of Jonathan Blunt above age 14 years was granted to Samuel Roby. Thomas Flagg was named guardian to Mary Blunt on 25 August 1767.[5]
