Biography

Rebecca Boardman was the daughter of George Boardman and Martha Surflling. She was born in 1758, given that she was 21 at the time of her marriage to Obadiah Silcock on August 24, 1779. They married at St Michael at Coslany, Norwich, Norfolk, England^[1] Their first child was baptised at St Michael at Coslany Norwich in August 1780, but by the time the second child was baptised in July 1781 they had moved from Norwich to Stalham, twelve more children were born, the youngest in Ingham, in 1797 .

Rebecca died in June 1834 at the age of 77 and was buried at St. Mary, Stalham on June 28, 1834.^[2]Her obituary (death notice) was published in the Norfolk Chronicle on June 28, 1834.^[3]
