Job bought some land in Bathurst by auction in 1852.[10] In 1853 Job was listed at having a title deed to a town lot in Bathurst.[11]
In 1853 Job was working as a shepherd and came across a dying man on the Moloney Road named William Bailey.[12]
In 1865 Job had a contract to supply the Public Service.[13]
Job was appointed to the Evans Plains local school board in 1867.[14]
Job owned and operated a timber mill in Evans Plains which was burnt down by arson in 1881.[15]
Job died aged 80 in Evans Plains, near Bathurst on 10 March 1895 and is buried at Bathurst Cemetery.[16][17][18]
