Thank you for adding a GEDCOM. I thought you might find the following information useful.

The GEDCOM does not automatically populate your tree. It generates a GEDCOMpare report which you work through, either accepting or rejecting all suggested matches. Once that has been done, you should see [add] buttons for each of the remaining names.

The GEDCOMpare process guide has tips on how to use the data in your file most efficiently.

For those using Chrome or Opera browsers, there is a tool that can help with the formatting of profiles which have been created through GEDCOM, so that you can concentrate on the research. You can read more about it in the WikiTree AGC FAQ.

If you have any questions about how WikiTree works, log into WikiTree and go to your profile. Use the ‘Reply’ link below my comment. Alternatively, click my name to visit my profile. From there, you can leave a comment, or send a private message.

PS Good work so far! Have you noticed on your ancestor profiles on the bottom right is "Research" where you can get sources and more information? Give it a try sometime!

You may have been hard at work getting connected to family members who are already here and adding those who were missing. You probably have at least a few profiles that you manage now.

There's a fast and easy way to access those profiles using the Watchlist. So, this week we're going to look at How to Manage Your Watchlist.

PS. Looks like you've had fun with the lessons, your tree is starting to take shape. Next time you touch the profiles that have the Unsourced box, please consider adding some sources (examples). It helps collaboration. Thanks for sharing!
