Hester Bobo was born July 23 1915 in Calhoun County, MS to Aaron Bobo and Carrie Smalley. She married Jim Williams in Calhoun County, MS.
Hester Williams, 88, died Tuesday, Oct. 28, 2003, at the North Mississippi Medical Center.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the North Green Street Church of Christ in Tupelo with Bro. Daniel McCollum officiating. Burial will be in Porter's Memorial Park. Carter's Mortuary Services of West Point is in charge of the arrangements.
Survivors include three sons, Bryant Williams of Tupelo, Jimmy Williams of Coffeeville and Willie R. Williams of Chesterfield, Mo.; three daughters, Dorothy McIntosh and Nevor Crawford of Tupelo, and Bobbie Beckham of Cleveland, Ohio; a sister, Marilyn Smalley of Pittsboro; eight grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jim Williams; her parents, Sammie and Kate Bobo; six brothers, Henry Bobo, Jake Bobo, S.P. Bobo, Preston Bobo, George Bobo, Fritz Bobo; and a sister, Vinnie Williams.
