Joseph Bodenmiller, 84 years old Civil war veteran, died at his home at South Rockwood Tuesday evening, following an illness of one week. He was a farmer and had lived at South Rockwood for the past ten years. A widow, two sons, 15 grandchildren and four great grandchildren survive.
Funeral services will he held at St. Mary's church, Rockwood, Saturday morning at 9:30 o°clock. Burial will take place in St. Charles cemetery at Oldport.

Baptism transcription: Im Jahre ein tausend acht hundert und vierzig, den fünf und zwanzigsten August abends 8 Uhr wurde dahier geboren ein Sohn des hiesigen Bürgers Johann Anton Bodenmüller und der Sybilla g. Baum, rechtmäßiger Eheleute. Pathe ist: der hiesige Bürger und Bauer Franz Weinmann. Zeugen sind: der genannte Bürger Franz Weinmann und der hiesige Bürger und Lehrer Michael Billmaier. Das Kind wurde den 26ten August mittags halb 12 Uhr getauft und hat den Namen Joseph erhalten.

The godfather is the local citizen and farmer Franz Weinmann. The witnesses are the named citizen, Franz Weinmann and the local citizen and teacher Michael Billmaier. The child was baptized at 11:30 noon on August 26th and received the name Joseph.
