Biography

Abner was born in 1835. Abner is the child of Elicum Boggs and Rachael Shipley. [citation needed]

He married Martha in about 1859.

In 1860, he with wife Martha and 8-month old daughter Allison, lived in Warren, Clinton, Indiana; he was a carpenter.[1]

He served during the American Civil War as a Private in Company C of the Indiana Infantry between 1861-1862.[2]

He married Flora in 1870.

In 1870, he, wife Flora (age 17) and his two oldest children (1st wife, Martha's children), Clifford (6) and Minnie (4) lived in Warren, Clinton, Indiana. Allison is not enumerated in the household.[3]

In 1880, he and his second wife Flora lived in Center Township, Howard County, Indiana, with Clifford (age 17) and Minnie (age 13), and his two children by Flora, Barry (age 8) and Oscar (age 6).[4]

In Jun of 1880 Abner was married to Margaret (aka Maggie)

By 14 Jun 1900 (date of census), Abner and Maggie were living in Center Township, Howard County, Indiana. The children enumerated in the household were Lucy B, b. 1884; Clyde b. 1885; Grace (10); Fred (8) Hazel (6) William (4)[5]

Abner died 22 Dec 1900.[6]and was interred in the Crown Point Cemetery, Kokomo, Howard County, Indiana, USA[7]
