Mary "Polly" Boggs was born 11 APR 1805 • Lee, Virginia and died 24 OCT 1870 • Elliott County, Kentucky. She was born to Capt. James L Boggs 1752-1835 and Elizabeth Jane Clement 1759-1818. She married Jesse James Johnson Jr, 27 Aug 1826 • Lawrence, Kentucky and they had the following children: Amanda Melvina, Ellington, Elizabeth, Susanna, Annie, James S., Jesse Johnson Jr, Henry Andrew, Hugh Oliver, Rev. John Milt "Jack", Francis Marion, Willis Washington "Doctor", John M, Mary Margaret "Polly" and Nancy Jane.
