William Boggs, was born in Londonderry, Ireland. They are thought to be John Livingston's children however DNA studies can not link the Livingstons with present day Boggs as of yet.
He moved with his family to America and settled on Back Creek in Berkeley County, West Virginia, receiving the grant for his land from Lord Fairfax in 1750. See Also: BY3361 in DNA chart attached herewith.
Siblings:
William married Elizabeth Hutchison. (was she a sister of Margaret (brother John's wife?)
Children: (4 daughters and 2 sons) Note: NOT the parent of Anne Millie Boggs.
William Boggs, Sr., was also an original pioneer, and one of the earliest in the Panhandle. He was of Irish descent, and took up, by tomahawk right, the body of land immediately north of Boggs' run, (from whom the run derives its name,) afterwards obtaining a patent therefor. His house was located at the foot of a ravine, about half a mile north of the run. Came from Londonderry, Ireland in 1750 to his 1000 acre Fairfax land grant in Back Creek Valley, Frederick Co. VA on the Warm Springs Road which ran from Martinsburg to Berkeley Springs. [2]

It was the daughter of John Boggs Sr. (William’s brother) who gained a national reputation at 16 for her bravery at the time the fort (Henry) at Wheeling was attacked by Indians. (1777) When the ammunition ran out, she declared it was better to risk the life of a girl than a man and she left the fort, filled her apron full of ammunition and returned unharmed. She spent the time loading the rifles and running bullets until the enemy was forced to retreat. She was born on Back Creek and lived to be 102 (her name was never mentioned).

I have added Unsourced Template since none of the information in the biography matches the information at the top. One source seems to match a different person in wiki, John, who is a SON of Williams Boggs and who lived in West Va. With no mention in the biography of the attached wife Elizabeth Hutchinson and no mention of West Virginia (was called Virginia when they were there, possibly), this profile does not have any reliable sourcing attached. See Research Notes.
