Biography

William Boggs, was born in Londonderry, Ireland. They are thought to be John Livingston's children however DNA studies can not link the Livingstons with present day Boggs as of yet.

He moved with his family to America and settled on Back Creek in Berkeley County, West Virginia, receiving the grant for his land from Lord Fairfax in 1750. See Also: BY3361 in DNA chart attached herewith.

It may be possible to confirm family relationships with William by comparing test results with other carriers of his Y-chromosome or his mother's mitochondrial DNA. However, there are no known yDNA or mtDNA test-takers in his direct paternal or maternal line. It is likely that these autosomal DNA test-takers will share some percentage of DNA with William:

Biography does not match the dates or locations in the top. Biography states he died 1790 in Chester County, PA where he is buried, not Virginia as the locations in the top state. 1st wife Jane also died in Chester County, PA.

I have added Unsourced Template since none of the information in the biography matches the information at the top. One source seems to match a different person in wiki, John, who is a SON of Williams Boggs and who lived in West Va. With no mention in the biography of the attached wife Elizabeth Hutchinson and no mention of West Virginia (was called Virginia when they were there, possibly), this profile does not have any reliable sourcing attached. See Research Notes.
