Elijah married Tabitha Pennington (born on September 8, 1758 in Sussex County, Virginia; daughter of David Pennington Sr. and Lydia (Gilliam) Pennington).

Isaac Boggs, son of Eli Boggs and Sarah Eldridge was born 1841 or 1842. He is on the 1850 census with Eli and Sarah listed at 8 years old. He is on the 1860 census with Eli and Sarah as age 19.
