Rachel was born about 1714 at Perquimans, Carolina the daughter of William and Elinor (Perisho) Bogue. No documentation of her birth has been found in Quaker meeting minutes.
The first records of Rachel are found in the Piney Woods Monthly Meeting (Perquimans) minutes and are marriage intentions with Peter Pearson Sr dated January and February of 1634.[1]
A record of Rachel's death has not been found but it is before 7 Nov 1746 when Peter Pearson marries out of unity to Mary Ann (Martin) Jessop.
Note: not knowing the death date of Rachel, it is assumed that the children born prior to Peter Pearson's second marriage to Mary Ann (Martin) Jessop are the children of Rachel.

Research Notes
Care must be taken with this profile as there are multiple people in this location at this time named Rachel Pearson, including the wife of Rachel Bogue's brother Robert.
In various earlier genealogies such as that written by Flora Bogue Deming and the 1974 edition of "One Ladd's Family" by Ruth Kline Ladd shows Rachel married to a John Moore with various children. This is without documentation and in the 2002 revision of the research of Ruth Kline Ladd the Moore marriage is not mentioned but the marriage to Peter Pearson (with will, etc) is given.

DNA Connections
It may be possible to confirm family relationships with Rachel by comparing test results with other carriers of her mitochondrial DNA.
However, there are no known mtDNA test-takers in her direct maternal line.
It is likely that these autosomal DNA test-takers will share some percentage of DNA with Rachel:
Neither one of the profiles contains sufficient sourcing for the information they contain and relationships shown. Though, they both show the same parentage. It would be good for them to be adequately sourced and I would think that could be found in Quaker meeting minutes. ~ T Stanton, Coordinator Quakers Project
Bogue-439 and Bogue-40 are not ready to be merged because: Questioning that the dob & dod on Bogue-40 and the parents on Bogue-439 are correct on the profiles. Doing some more research to address these issues. Will try to resolve as soon as possible.
Bogue-73 and Bogue-40 appear to represent the same person because: All their children have duplicate records. Parents are William Bogue-32 & Eleanor Perisho-6. Parents' profiles are being merged. Trying to clean up the children's profiles. Will go back & update the bios after we get all "fixed". Thanks.
