Russell G. Bogue, son of James Bogue and Lydia (Huntley) Bogue, was born on 6 April 1799, probably in Lyme.[1][2]
He married Sila Tillotson on 2 April 1822 at Lyme, New London, Connecticut. [3][1][2]
He was a farmer when he and Sila appeared on the census of 19 Nov. 1850 at Salem, New London, Connecticut.[4]
Russell died on 4 Aug. 1863 on his way home from the US Civil War.[2] His memorial shows his place of death as New Orleans, Orleans Parish, Louisiana, has a photo of his headstone and identifies his wife Sila. He was buried at Chapman Cemetery, Montville
New London County, Connecticut.[5]
