Cranston McCabe Bogue was born in 1896. He was the son of William Bogue and Amma Nordyke. In census records before 1930 he is more frequently listed as "McCabe."
Military service: WWI draft registration in Tipton co. IN, employed by W.F. Schmidt.[1] He enlisted in August of 1918.[2] Veteran's admin. records show him serving as a private in the 297th Aero Provisional Service Squadron in Denver from 8/1918 - 1/1919.[3]
After the war he returned to Indiana for a time, showing up on the 1920 census as a mail carrier for the post office, while living with his brother John W. Bogue and his family.[4]
On 21 May 1924 he married Hazel L. Sandell in Denver, Colorado.[5] He lived the rest of his life in Colorado.
In the 1930 census, Cranston was an assistant doing electrical work, Hazel worked as "comptometer" at a bank, and Hazel's mother Mary Sandall, native of Sweden, was living with them.[6]
1942 Draft registration in Denver, he was employed by Civil Service... Dept Comm C.A.A.[8]
According to family oral history he never had children and was a painter... unclear if this meant house painting or artistic painting, but other family members shared the artistic gene.
He passed away in 1982[9] and is buried in Fort Logan Cemetery in Colorado.[10]
