Mr. Cardell A. Bogues, 61, of 115 Beecher Ave., departed this life Friday, Sept 11, 2009, at his home in Waterbury surrounded by his loving family.
He was born Jan. 24, 1948, in Camden County, N.C., the oldest son of the late Edward Walton and Edith Bogues. He was educated in the North Carolina and Connecticut school systems. He served in the Army from 1968 to 1974, received the National Defense Service Medal and Good Conduct Medal. He was employed by the City of Waterbury's Refuse Dept. then relocated to Florida in the early 1980s. After his retirement in 2000, Cardell relocated back to Connecticut. He enjoyed riding his motorcycle, driving "coach buses" for Gospel groups, and watching UConn Women's basketball. Cardell would help anyone who needed him; he was a man filled with love and happiness.
