Dorrlis Jewell Cuningham:

Dorrlis Jewell Cunningham, 97 of Conway, Missouri, died Wednesday May 13, 2015 in Lebanon North Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Lebanon, Missouri.

She was born June 11, 1917, near Norwood, Missouri to William J. and Melissa Ann Hurt Bohannon.

On April 11, 1936, she married Thomas Woodson Cunningham.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Thomas, on December 18, 1994; a son-in-law, Edwin Schuster; a granddaughter, Bridgett Cunningham; a great-great granddaughter, Ashley Cunningham; a brother, Elzie "Bud" Bohannon, and a sister, Elizabeth Owens.

She was raised in the Morgan Community and lived most of her life in the Conway area. Throughout the years, Dorrlis was a devoted and hardworking homemaker to her husband and family.

Dorrlis was a longtime, active member of Bear Thicket United Methodist Church, where she served as secretary and as superintendent of the Sunday School. She also served on the Church Board of Trustees and was a member of the finance committee. She also served on the Board of Trustees of Bear Thicket Cemetery. She was a member of American Legion Post No. 214 of Phillipsburg, and the D.A.V. Auxiliary No. 51, where she had served as Vice Commander.

Survivors include three daughters, Sue Schuster, of St. Louis; Carolyn Greer, of Clarksville, Tennessee; and Mary Ann Lindley and her husband, Tom, of Phillipsburg; five sons, Carl Cunningham and his wife, Mary, of Republic; Larry Cunningham and his wife Patsy, of Conway; Gary Cunningham and his wife, Ann, of Conway; Dean Cunningham and his wife, Shellie, of Strafford, and Jack Cunningham and his wife, Patty, of Lebanon; 23 grandchildren, a number of great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; two brothers, Everett Bohannon, of Conway, and Bill Bohannon and his wife, Betty Sue, of Conway; also several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services for Dorrlis Jewell Cunningham will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, May 16, 2015, in the Holman-Howe Funeral Home of Lebanon, Missouri with the Rev. Elvin Bohannon and the Rev. Terry Cunningham officiating.

Burial will be in Roper Cemetery at Morgan, Missouri, under the care and direction of Holman-Howe Funeral Home of Lebanon.

Visitation will be from 6-7:30 p.m. Friday in the funeral home.

Memorial donations to Roper Cemetery or Conway Memorial Library Fund ay be made through the funeral home.

Dorrlis was born in 1917. She was the daughter of William Bohannon and Melissa Hurt. She passed away in 2015. ^[1]
