Biography

Ludmila Bohemia was born in 1170 in Praha, Praha, Czechoslovakia, daughter of Frederick Bohemia (~1142–1189) and Erzsébet Arpadhazi (~1146–1189).

Ludmila married Ludwig Wittelsbach (born on December 23, 1173 in Kelheim, Germany; son of Otto (Wittelsbach) von Wittelsbach and Agnes (Loon) von Wittelsbach). Their son was Otto Wittelsbach (1206–1253).

Her husband was murdered at Kelheim.

Ludmila died on August 5, 1240 in Landshut, aged 69, in a convent that she founded.
