Biography

Caroline was born about 1832, Elizabethtown, Lancaster, PA. She was the daughter of John Bohn and Henrietta George. She passed away about 1837.

She died at age 5 of smallpox, in Pennsylvania. See Lowry "History of Preble Co" p 789. [1]Confirms father. John H. L. Bohn moved his family to Camden Ohio in 1842. Note some confusion- originally thought this Caroline married George Mayer 30 May 1847- too early to be this Caroline Bohn.

The 1840 Mount Joy, Lancaster, PA census only lists ages by sex & no female Caroline's age appears so she died before the 1840 census.

Possible that she had a sister that died when above Caroline was born. Can't read the gravestone but they were Lutherans in Elizabethtown at the time of her birth/death.
