    GEORGE P. BOHN - A WELL KNOWN GERMAN CITIZEN AND VETERAN OF THE CIVIL WAR WAS STRUCK DOWN EARLY YESTERDAY MORNING BY A HEART ATTACK

    At the age of almost 65 years old, after a very sudden heart attack died shortly after 5 o'clock yesterday morning, Mr. George P. Bohn, in his house 207 East Jefferson Street. The coroner, who was called, determined the cause of death. The deceased was born on 5 July 1839 in Wahlen, in Hessen-Darmstadt, and immigrated to Louisville in 1854. He operated a tin and copper business for many years. Mr. Bohn was a veteran of the Civil War and enlisted at the founding of the "Grand Army of The Republic." He was wounded at Liberty Gap and carried in his body the bullet that hurt him up to the time of his death. His passing is mourned by his widow, Mrs. Cecilia Bohn, born Jutz, as well as six sons and three daughter-in-laws, while two sons and two daughters preceded him in death. The funeralwill take place at 9:00 a.m., from St. Mary's Church. The deceased was a long-time member of that parish, as well as the "Catholic Knights" and the "St. Joseph's Home Society."
