Biography
Richard de Bold was born about 1423 in Bold, Lancashire, England and died about 1486. He was knighted by Lord Stanley about 1482 .[1]
Richard was the son of Sir Henry Bolde and Grace Savage. [2]
Research Notes
Fowler shows the husband of Catherine Bold as a Henry Bold, son of Richard Bold.[3] This error is most likely due to a misreading of documents pertaining to their daughter-in-law Dulcia, wife of Henry Bold. [4]
