Biography

Charles Frank Bolden Jr. is a former Administrator of NASA, a retired United States Marine Corps Major General, and a former NASA astronaut.[1]

1946 Born in Columbia, Richland, South Carolina, USA.
1968 Bachelor of Science in Electrical Science, United States Naval Academy. Joined the US Marine Corps. During his Marine Corps career, he was awarded the Defense Distinguished Service Medal, the Defense Superior Service Medal, the Legion of Merit, the Distinguished Flying Cross, and the Defense Meritorious Service Medal.
