Biography

Andrew was born in 1748/53. He passed away in 1811.

There appears to be no record of a Dosser prior to this family. All of the names match up to family records. It is believed this family changed their last name to Dosser from Bolderser.

Andrew married Eve Hawn on 11 October 1785 in Tryon and Lincoln, North Carolina, United States.[1]

In the 1790 census Andw was in Lincoln, North Carolina.[2]

Research Notes

DNA points to a possible relationship between:

Also it appears that Henry P Tosser (abt.1775-) may have a name change like his other children but instead of Dosser it became Tosser.

Please indulge me while I research this family and try and make all the neccessary DNA proofs. There are about 30 involved DNA testers I am trying to enlist in this research.

Anna Marcretha (Upp) Knortzer (1726-1754) and Georg Christoph Knortzer (1723-1793) are shown as the parents of Andrew Baldosier (abt.1748-1811) in many sources. It has yet to be confirmed. Using DNA I am also connecting Andrew to other Balthasar families.

It is also likely based on the DNA that Heinrich Balthaser (1750-1823) is the brother of Andrew Baldosier (abt.1748-1811).

DNA Connections
It may be possible to confirm family relationships with Andrew by comparing test results with other carriers of his Y-chromosome or his mother's mitochondrial DNA. However, there are no known yDNA or mtDNA test-takers in his direct paternal or maternal line. It is likely that these autosomal DNA test-takers will share some percentage of DNA with Andrew:
