Funeral Services Conducted For Henry Boley

Funeral services were conducted Tuesday for Henry Boley, 23, son of Warren and Barbara Carter Boley, who died Friday from injuries received in an auto accident Wednesday evening.

Henry was a passenger in an automobile driven by George Smith, 24, of this city, and traveling toward Lehi at the time. A. Mason, 22, of Salt Lake City, driving south said he turned out to pass a car coming onto the highway at the forks of the road when his machine and that of Smith's collided headon.

The occupants of both cars were injured, Mr. Boley receiving a fractured skull and severe cuts about the head and neck. He never regained consciousness. George Smith and his brother, Lyman, 21, received cuts and bruises, Lyman having several broken teeth. Mason and David Newman, 25, a passenger in the Mason car, were cut and bruised. All were taken to the Lehi hospital for treatment.

Surviving Mr.Boley are his parents and the following brothers and sisters: Morgan Boley, San Francisco, California; Mrs. Lorraine V. Ingersoll, Washington, D.C; Mrs. Margaret Adams and Carter Boley of this city, and a grandmother, Mrs. Melissa Boley of American Fork; a half-brother,Glen Boley of this city, and half-sister, Mrs. Thelma Jones of Salt Lake.

Bishop T.A. Greenwood was in charge of the services at which a large crowd of friends and relatives gathered to show their love and appreciation for this good family. Miss Mildred Chipman sang the opening selection accompanied on the piano by Miss Lydia Olsen who was accompanist for the services, and on violins by Lillian Seastrand and Maxine Taylor. Prayer was offered by Orval C. Mercer and Rulon Nicholes sang "I'm a Pilgrim".

Remarks were made by Mrs. Laura Boley Francam of Salt Lake, Lloyd B. Adamson, principal of the Junior high school, President Clifford E. Young and Bishop Greenwood. Other musical numbers were a solo "Trees" by Rulon Nicholes and a solo "No Night There" by Mrs. C.E. Young. The benediction was pro-nounced by Elisha H. Davis of Lehi. Interment was made in the American Fork City cemetery where the grave was dedicated by Roy Greenwood.
