Erasmus was born about 1676. He was married at Alzenz in 1704 to Anna Rebecca Bernhardt. He passed away about 1736.

Over the 400 year period the spelling of the family name in the Alsenz Evangelish Church records varies considerably. It alternates between "B" and "P". Other variations are: Boley, Poley, Poleyln and Boleyen. In American records I have found the spellings: Boli, Poli, Bolae, Polae, Bohlae and Pohlae. All, depending on your accent when speaking or ears when hearing, would sound pretty much the same.
