Francis Jane Bulger, was the youngest daughter of Simon Bolger and Jane Flanagan.
She was born at Sunny Corner, Bathurst on 23 June 1868 (BC = 6105/1868).
She had 10 siblings - Thomas, Mary, Theresa, Simon, Ellen, John, James, Jane, Edward, Emily
She was baptised a Roman Catholic in about 1868
Frances was educated in a convent where she learnt music and later gave music lessons at the convent. Her future husband, Robert learnt from her and this is how they met. (JMV)
During her childhood life Jane lived at a number of addresses at - 1868 at Sunny Corner, Bathurst and in 1883 at the "Tramway Hotel” 68-70 Wexford Street, Sydney (between Goulbourn and Campbell Streets). In 1885 she was at Leichhardt .
She married Robert Melton Underwood on 25 June 1889 when they were both 21, in Sydney (MC = 942/1889).
They had ten children between 1891 and 1906 - Isabel, Emily, Frances, Gertrude, Robert, Florence, Jessie, Eva, Edna, Frederick.
Between 1889 and 1949 she lived at 11 different addresses - three of which were in Paddington.
Frances died in Paddington on 26 Nov 1948, of Congestive Cardiac Failure, Hypertension and Cerebral Haemorrhage (DC = 25925/1948).
She was buried on 29 November 1948 in Grave 60, Row 2, Section G (Catholic) Rookwood Cemetery.
