Margetha was born 5 Apr 1793 as the daughter of parish tailor Hans Bolin and his wife Margetha Hansdotter. The family lived in the grounds of Bogården. Margta had at least four younger sisters.
In 1816 the unwed tailor's daughter Margta Hansdotter Bolin had a son, Hans. They lived with her parents. 3 December 1818 Margta Hansdotter Bolin married the father of her son. His name was Gabriel Ersson Forsberg.
Husman Gabriel Forsberg with wife and son left Bogården in Arbrå in 1827 to move to the neighbouring parish, Bollnäs. However, they are back in Arbrå before 1830, now as farmers in Koldemo sub 11. Gabriel may have been a lease holding farmer rather than self-owned, since his sons become crofters. They stay in Koldemo for the rest of their lives. Margta is widowed in 1757.
Margta is in the household records for all of her married life as Margta Hansdotter. However, in her death record she is the crofter's widow Margta Forsberg in Koldemo. She died in March 1869
It may be possible to confirm family relationships with Margta by comparing test results with other carriers of her mitochondrial DNA.
However, there are no known mtDNA test-takers in her direct maternal line.
It is likely that these autosomal DNA test-takers will share DNA with Margta:
I see this time and again, that the family name for the husband in the early 1800s is used as a married name for the wife - but only after the death of the husband (I should look at the cases where the wife dies first).
