In April, 1665 Anne's father James set sail for America from England in Philip Carteret's ship, ''Philip," with about thirty passengers. There is no surviving passenger list. However, it is known that the passengers included James Bollen. James then settled in northeastern New Jersey, under British rule (since Sept. 1664) of this part of New Netherland as it was in dispute for the next decade until full Dutch capitulation in 1674. No doubt Anne came with her parents on that same ship, or was born here after arrival.
Anna Bollen, daughter of James Bollen, Secretary of the Province, married Jonathan Stout, son of Richard and Penelope Kent Van Princin Stout, August 27 1685. With the death of James Bollen in 1682, Anna and her brother James chose Samuel Moore and Nathaniel Fitzrandolph as their guardians.

Bollen-57 and Bollen-6 appear to represent the same person because: They need to be merged . while the only info on Bollen-57 is the marriage date and the husband the editing after merge can correct other info;
Lindsey, I just added information that establishes that Anne Bollen the wife of Jonathan Stout did not die in 1682. It may have been her mother, Anne. James Bollen, her father, died 1682 and in 1683 Anne and her brother James selected guardians. In addition, I just noted her birth year is given as 1657 in New Jersey and in the bio it says that James Bollen, her father did not leave for the New World until 1665.
